HUB HSE Specialist - APMEA

Mission statement:

As an individual contributor, the Hub HSE Specialist - APMEA will be part of will be part of be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE. You will be supporting the Transformers Services (TRES) business in meeting the HSE KPIs of the Business Units.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will have weekly call with all the TRES Units to ensure compliance and prepare the TRES business in line with Hitachi Energy management system requirements.

  • You will be imparting Mandatory Training to TRES Team across the APMEA Hub and leading the electrical safety training requirements in the APMEA Hub.

  • You will be expected to travel to suppliers for solving quality issues, quality process developments and inspection of components and products.

  • You will review risk assessment in supporting countries and manage all required documentation, operational checks and reports for the HSE Management System to be compliant with ISO standards.

  • You will compile all non-confirmative (NC), prepare corrective action, follow up for closure of NCs for TRES Units and coordinate and participate in the investigation of accidents and near misses.

  • You will review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and recommend corrective action and prepare and timely submitting all Management Information System (MIS) & reports.

  • You will lead as Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator for Hub APMEA and perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.

Your background

  • You hold bachelor’s degree in relevant field, with valid NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) Certification.

  • Ideally with 10-12 years of experience in HSE involving in structural projects at customer sites.

  • Applicant with civil engineering, heavy machineries, heavy equipment, telecom projects background are encouraged to apply.

  • Excellent coordinating skills, with a cross continent and regional.

  • Able to travel up to 30% of the time for business.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
