The HVDC - High Voltage Direct Current technology has been on the market for the past 60 years and is used, among other things, to transmit power over long distances & integrate renewables into the grid with minimal losses, using overhead lines, underground and submarine cable systems.

Location of the role will be Glasgow in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse customer specification to ensure that the solution meets the requirements.
  • Good knowledge of International regulations and standards.
  • Experience in working with BIM & ACAD
  • Experience with site installation supervision and onsite commissioning is an advantage
  • Preparation of technical specification documents, conceptual design, development design, BIM models, configuring and maintaining BMS equipment, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring system efficiency.
  • Producing, reviewing and coordinating technical information required with internal stakeholders, suppliers & customer.
  • Review of technical documents & drawings from vendors and sub supplier.
  • Validate design confirmation to applicable regulations and technical specification.
  • Technical evaluation of price bids for procurement.
  • Planning and follow-up project activities & site activities.
  • Producing, reviewing and coordinating technical subject matter documentation.
  • Consulting & advising project/ site team on the best practices & solutions in accordance with standard processes, regulation, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Technically coordinate with Civil, MEP, Electrical and Mechanical department.
  • Coordinate with Project/Tender Team effeciently.
  • Identify the risk and opportunities effectively.

Qualifications / Background

  • Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/Electronics engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of telecommunication.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the UK.
  • Experience in design of Access control system, CCTV, Intruder detection system, Public address system, Telecommuncation syytem and Video conference systems.
  • Signalling, Protocol testing, Building Management systems, Coverage studies and familiarity with building automation protocols.
  • programming languages (e.g., BACnet, Modbus) (Must), AutoCAD (Must), and BIM360 (Advantage), MS office (Must)
  • Analytical and Communication skills, problem solving abilities and attention to details
  • You should be used to managing several tasks simultaneously, without losing the overall perspective.
