Manager Distribution Center/ Warehousing

Job Description: The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall planning, organizing, and operations of our distribution center and warehouses in Pennsylvania. This role includes managing all distribution functions such as order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, cycle counting, and receiving. Key responsibilities include:

  • Warehousing Strategy: Responsible to revisit and develop the warehousing strategy for the operating units in Pennsylvania
  • Business Partner to the Operating Units: Partner with the operating units by establishing service level agreements and defining processes to ensure on time delivery of materials from the warehouse to the factories
  • Inventory Management: Use modern processes to manage inventory. Establish and execute a cycle count program to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Workload Balancing: Balance workloads to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift.
  • Operational Optimization: Utilize software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track warehouse metrics, and resolve problems.
  • Staff Management: Provide necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management.
  • Extensive knowledge of distribution center functions and processes.
  • SAP S4 Hana, EWM

Authority: Has full authority for personnel actions and ensures that project/department milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budgets.
