E3 Electrical CAD Library Designer

Business Information:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.

Mission Statement ​:

The E3 Electrical CAD Library Designer is responsible for creating and managing comprehensive electrical CAD libraries, ensuring that all components and symbols are accurate, current, and aligned with supplier specifications. E3 Electrical CAD Library Designer will be reporting to team manager of INOPC PGTR Engineering & Technology team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Create and manage comprehensive electrical CAD libraries, ensuring that all components and symbols are accurate, current, and aligned with supplier specifications.

  • Utilize E3 software to design and revise detailed electrical schematics and diagrams, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

  • Work closely with electrical engineers from various locations to understand design requirements and provide effective CAD solutions.

  • Perform regular audits of E3 libraries and designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project specifications.

  • Identify opportunities for automation within the E3 design process to enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.

  • Manage the lifecycle of components within the library, including updates, revisions, and obsolescence tracking.

  • Assist team members with technical issues related to E3 tools and libraries, offering guidance and troubleshooting as needed.

  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in electrical design and technologies to continuously improve library standards and practices.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field with 3-5 years of experience

  • Proven experience with E3 CAD software and electrical design principles.

  • Exposure to creating and managing libraries in E3.

  • Intermediate-level expertise in AutoCAD.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, experience in data analysis and management

  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Tasks and time self-management

  • Demonstrated ability to learn Engineering Design tools.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
