Electrical Design Engineer

Business Information:

Hitachi Energy is currently looking for Electrical Design Engineer for the Transformers Business to join their team in Vadodara, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment. He or she must be flexible to accommodate business requirements and experience in working with diverse groups and cultures. The ability to multitask & delivers within timelines is essential. The candidate will have excellent communications skills.

Mission Statement:

Electrical Engineering researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team heavily specialized in Distribution transformer design up to 35 MVA 66 kV Class, covering different countries.

  • Responsible for designing transformer in coordination with global Hitachi Energy factory based on the purchase order requirement, ordering specification in different areas of transformer Electrical design.

  • Coordinating design activities within a worldwide factories network.

  • Influence specification at the tender and pre-tender stage, through conceptual discussions.

  • Participation in internal design concept reviews.

  • Design as per Market and Sales Strategy to meet the market needs.

  • Living core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Your Background:

  • B.E/B.Tech Electrical Engineering.

  • 2 to 7 experiences working in Electrical design for Distribution oil filled, Dry or Power Transformers manufacturing Industry. Candidates with higher experience also to be considered.

  • Understanding of Transformer Electrical Design, Thermal, Dielectrics, Short circuit and sound performance and transformer mechanics

  • Experience in Simulation or software development would be advantageous.

  • Experience on Microsoft office and tools.

  • Ability to speak with and work together with the technical teams in different parts of the world.

  • Demonstrated team building skills, would be a preference.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
