Preventive and Corrective maintenance
The objective of the maintenance is to preserve the system’s function, including operational efficiency and highest possible reliability. We support customers to develop a maintenance program including recurring preventive maintenance, tailored according to customer’s equipment, constraints, risks, and condition of components.
During the execution of a FACTS (Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems) project, preventive maintenance on the system will be described in a Preventive Maintenance Plan. The purpose of this plan is to define the recommended preventive maintenance activities that can be foreseen, and to estimate the manpower requirements for these activities.
As part of a service agreement Hitachi Energy support customers to cover their maintenance needs. With the use of digital tools and accumulated, global engineering know-how, Hitachi Energy recommends maintenance actions and refine maintenance scope to assure that it remains relevant against operating conditions. As part of the maintenance reports, the customer receives early and reliable predictions of impending failures (failures which will occur unless countermeasures – preventive maintenance – are taken), formulated based on the condition data, and the recommendations on how to prevent them, including repairs, replacements and improvements.
In the event of a failure or when corrective actions are required to be performed, Hitachi Energy will provide adequate personnel for fault analysis, investigation and corrective maintenance after failure detection, aiming to restore the asset to a condition in which it can perform its intended function.
