DISTRIBUTECH 2023

CIRED, the Leading Forum where the Electricity Distribution Community meets, holds the major International Electricity Conference & Exhibition every two years in different venues in Europe with a worldwide perspective and participation.

CIRED is always evolving and the 2023 event is the conference 27th edition. CIRED 2023 will take place in Rome, located in the heart of Italy on 12-15 June 2023.

Participation in CIRED 2023 offers an opportunity to meet with up to 2500 experts and benefits from face-to-face interaction with key decision leaders in the field of Electricity Distribution.

An exhibition gathering over 140 companies will be running throughout the conference.

Digital Made Real

Under the theme 'Digital Made Real', we discussed with customers how our advanced digital solutions can help them solve complex, real-world energy challenges and accelerate the clean energy transition.

The energy system of the future is becoming more complex, and the urgency for this transition is increasing due to the rapid growth in the electrification of industry sectors such as transportation, buildings, cities and manufacturing of all kinds. Digitalization is the only way to manage this complexity and support the integration of renewable energy sources at scale. 

Racing toward a carbon-neutral future

Embracing this urgency to accelerate the energy transition, we adopted a theme for our booth, 'Racing toward a carbon-neutral future,' which gave us the opportunity to invite a two-time INDYCAR championship winner for Team Penske, Josef Newgarden to visit with customers, partners, and other guests. Josef not only signed autographs for show attendees and fans but also shared an exciting story about the successful, long-standing partnership between Hitachi and Team Penske since 2012. The two companies are deeply committed to advancing their shared sustainability goals. Hitachi Energy is very proud to partner with Penske Automotive to install the first ever Grid-eMotion™ Fleet system in Stockton, CA later this year to electrify Penske Automotive's fleet, with the goal to expand to more locations around the U.S. 

Giving back to local communities

As part of our commitment to local communities, we've donated $10 for every badge scanned at the booth to the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Diego, resulting in a grand total of $10,000 for their efforts to support at-risk youth in the community.
