The Opportunity

We are currently seeking dedicated and knowledgeable System Engineers to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in project development and design, particularly in electrification projects such as power from shore and offshore wind connections.

How you'll make an impact

  • You will develop electrical power system concepts and find optimal solutions to our customers´ challenges.

  • You will lead and coordinate the development of system philosophies for our complete solution, such as power system philosophy, operational philosophy, protection and control philosophy, earthing philosophy.

  • Manage interface with our internal technical consultants who perform power system analyses, and ensure adherence to quality, timelines, and financial targets per contract specifications and safety requirements. 

  • You will engage with our diverse electrical factories and partners (high-voltage switchgears (>36kV), transformers, shunt reactors, STATCOM, SFC…)

  • Operate at the intersection of sales and project execution, maintaining extensive customer contact in both areas.

  • You will collaborate closely with the project lead engineer and project manager to align on objectives and deliverables.  

  • Develop ideas and work continuously with improvements to our technical solutions.

Your background

  • Relevant higher education in power engineering, with at least a bachelor's degree, preferably a master's degree.

  • Experience in developing electrical concepts and conducting power system analysis for electrification and grid integration projects.

  • Relevant experience in electric power engineering, or in power distribution within the industrial sector.

  • Good understanding of interfaces and dependencies between electrical, automation and civil scopes in large projects.

  • Proficient in preparing and presenting decision-making frameworks for electrical systems and components.

  • Familiarity with modeling high-voltage electrical installations is advantageous.

  • Show initiative and maintain a high degree of independence in your work.

  • Fluent communication skills, both oral and written, in English.

Your workplace will be in our new premises at Helsfyr in Oslo and/or Flesland in Bergen. Please note that the position may involve occasional travel.
