Project Lead Engineer 80 – 100% (f/m/d)

The opportunity

Are you looking for the next challenge in a motivated team? We are looking for a technical Project Lead Engineer to support projects in the field of Grid Automation. This role ensures that engineering activities across all disciplines as control & protection as well as substation automation systems are well coordinated and executed. You will also act as the technical interface between the customer and the project team.

How you'll make an impact

  • Act as a technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables across all applicable engineering disciplines

  • Preparing base design of substation automation & control and protection systems. Verification of the implemented base design into the detail design

  • Coordinate all technical activities during the complete project duration

  • Manage the engineers in the project teams across all disciplines

  • Approve documentation in accordance with the contractual requirements of the project

  • Work with customers to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovation with the customer to drive and deliver improvements

  • Identify and manage project risks

  • Liaise with project management on engineering budgets and to provide forecast cost-to-complete estimates

  • Assist in preparing tender proposals and claims

Your background

  • For this position, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, electromechanics or equivalent

  • Knowledge of automation systems, control and protection of substations and at least 5 years of professional experience in this field is required

  • Fluent English is a basic requirement, additional language skills (especially German) are considered a valuable asset

  • Your communicative and assertive personality with good organizational and coordination skills will set you apart

  • In addition, you will contribute to our organization through self-motivation and team spirit underpinned by leadership qualities
