Manufacturing Competence Center - Business Process Expert - SAP (f/m/d)

The Opportunity

As part of our growth strategy, Hitachi Energy has engaged in a multi-year project (Reiwa) to upgrade our core ERP systems to single-instance SAP S/4HANA, standardize our IT application landscape and digitize our business processes to meet the needs of our expanding business.

Within BU Transformers we are creating a Manufacturing Competence Center (MCC) with the goal to work closely with HUB and Factory Business Process Owners, organize the work of all our Power and Key Users, drive system deployment and utilization to its full potential, as well as prioritize harmonized requirements from the business towards IT teams / SAP Center of Expertise (CoE).

The MCC will support all transformer factories and service centers globally to optimize the value of our SAP investments by leveraging best practices to optimize end-user experience, assisting the local teams with training and issue resolution, identifying opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements.

For our newly created Manufacturing Competence Center we are searching for suitable candidates. 

How you´ll make an impact

  • Lead SAP Deployment and Adoption: Drive the deployment and adoption of relevant SAP modules and functionalities across factories and service units, ensuring the full potential and benefits of the SAP solutions are realized

  • Process Harmonization and Improvement: Harmonize business processes, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize system requirements, with SAP as the backbone

  • Optimize and Automate Processes: Analyze existing business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation using SAP solutions

  • Collaborate with BPOs: Work with HUB and Factory BPOs to understand their key challenges. Monitor system usage and performance, gather user feedback, and proactively enhance SAP processes for maximum efficiency

  • Resolve User Issues: Address user pain points proactively, resolve issues on-site, and ensure IT support tickets are well-documented for quick resolution

  • Upskill Key and Power Users: Enable key and power users to become SAP knowledge sources through upskilling and functional training

  • Develop Training Materials: Assist in creating comprehensive SAP training materials to ensure effective and ongoing use of the application and supporting tools. Provide training on new SAP processes and functionalities
     

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or engineering or equivalent work experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in one or a combination of the 3 SAP Modules: SD, MM, PP, PS, CS, EWM

  • Strong knowledge of the S4/HANA platform preferred. SAP Certifications preferred

  • Experience in manufacturing and industrial services

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in global multi-national team

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to quickly identify root causes of issues

  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
