Hitachi Energy Vietnam’s special gifts on Family Day

Món quà đặc biệt cho Ngày gia đình từ Hitachi Energy Việt Nam

On an average, 2,500 new cancer cases among children are reported every year in Vietnam, according to a representative of the National Children's Hospital. In high-income countries, more than 80% of children with cancer are cured, but in many low and medium-income countries, the rate falls to less than 30%. The main reason for this disparity low income and difficulties in accessing advanced treatments.

On the occasion of Vietnamese Family Day on June 28, 2024, Chandan Singh (Country Managing Director), Nguyen Thi Lan Anh (Country HR Manager), Hoang Van Tien (Trade Union President) and other members of Hitachi Energy Vietnam stepped up their support to pediatric patients at K Hospital Tan Trieu and their families.

K Hospital Tan Trieu is the busiest cancer hospital in the country, taking care of thousands of patients every day at three campuses. Through an internal charity fair, employees of Hitachi Energy in Vietnam raised contribution – in cash and kind – for 60 families, nearly ten of whom have extremely poor living standards, as they came from rural or mountainous areas of Vietnam or have other members of the family are also under cancer treatment.

Representing the company, Lan Anh sent the best wishes to all families attended, “Fighting against cancer is a long battle and requires the efforts of both the family and society. Hitachi Energy hopes that our small gifts today can bring your more energy to keep on fighting.”
