Hitachi Energy’s biggest highlights of 2023 - from the power of collaboration, to investing in our colleagues around the world, through to accelerating the energy transition further.

Hitachi Energy continues to expand collaboration with Indonesia government to accelerate the energy transition. During Enlit Asia 2023, Hitachi Energy signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the nation’s utility, PT PLN (Persero) for cooperation to support energy transition and net zero emission 2060.

The MoU was made under the Letter of Intent signed between Hitachi Energy and Secretariat General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources dated June 19^th on the green energy technology development.

The signing of this MoU was carried out by Predrag Grupkovic as Country Managing Director of Hitachi Energy in Indonesia and Dharmawan Prasodjo as President Director of PLN.

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Indonesia and Hitachi Energy sign Letter of Intent for green energy technology development

The government is committed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the energy sector by 358 million tons of CO2 or 12.5 percent with its own effort, or 446 million tons of CO2 or 15.5% with international assistance by 2030 according to the National Determined Contribution (NDC) document. Furthermore, the government is aiming to reach Net Zero Emission (NZE) by 2060 or sooner.
