Working in Hitachi Energy makes me feel proud. It’s very overwhelming when you realize you’re working towards a greener planet for your children.

I’m based in Krakow, Poland and I work in the area of Tax and Treasury. Over the last years I have been managing solutions that help in realizing the objectives of this department, namely through technology.

I began as a developer, working across multiple companies in India and the Middle East. I joined the finance domain, where I would define and optimize processes, vendor procurement, and more.

What I like about my work is that there is a lot to learn – and there’s something for everyone. I really appreciate those learning opportunities – I am encouraged here to take classroom training and even external qualifications that help to advance my role. One of the most memorable ones was the manager-oriented data analytics course from the London School of Economics which lasted eight weeks and aided so much in my development.

At work activities like managing changes, assessing applications and modules, measuring results, and analyzing stakeholder requests are all part of the day-to-day. And there is a people aspect to it - as people managers, we must recognize and respond to the needs of our people. We work under various circumstances, and we do recognize that family and personal lives have a major impact on how we work. So, if someone needs that extra support - I’ll fight for them!

Working in Hitachi Energy makes me feel proud. The other day when I was helping my daughter with a school project on sustainable energy, I felt immense pride. It’s very overwhelming when you realize you’re working towards a greener planet for your children. Everything I do contributes to a better world for them. That’s something more than money can ever buy.
