Hitachi Energy's next-generation monitoring system GMS600 simplifies and enhances generator circuit-breaker (GCB) monitoring, enabling preventive and predictive maintenance. It supports the overall increase of power plant safety and reliability while enabling cost-effective lifetime management. Built on the well-proven technology, it offers unique features such as:
- Gas monitoring and trending
- Temperature monitoring of primary conductors
- Ablation monitoring
- Contact timing measurement system
All the GMS600 offerings provide the following functions:
- Time to maintenance analysis provides information of the remaining time until the next overhaul of the GCB.
- Supervision of GCB operating mechanism to detect changes in performance characteristics for early and preventive planning of correcting actions.
- Warning and alarm indications are displayed locally on the GMS600 via LEDs and remotely within the web client application.
- Data Logging is a powerful feature of GMS600 that allows comprehensive analysis of any event involving GCB.
- Web server functionality allows to access GMS600 via Ethernet by any internet browser and to visualize, download, and export logged data.
Based on Hitachi Energy's well-proven Relion® Series 650, the GMS600 platform provides an accurate indication of time remaining before the GCB needs servicing, an efficient data logging system, and an intuitive network interface via web client application.
GMS600 provides full control of GCB operational parameters enabling preventive and predictive maintenance. It supports the overall increase of power plant safety and reliability whilst enabling cost-effective lifetime management by the EnCompass™ Service Agreement of Hitachi Energy.
