AC-AC Static Frequency Converter Transformer
Hitachi Energy's AC-AC Static Frequency Converter Transformers are an integral part of the converter station. They supply power to a static frequency converter, which allows the connection of a 3-phase AC public grid (at 50 or 60 Hz) to a 1-phase AC rail power grid of the same or different frequency (60, 50, 25, or 16.7 Hz).
