13:00-13:30
Advancing a sustainable energy future for all
The world has changed more quickly than we could have ever anticipated. The need for a more sustainable, flexible and secure energy system has never been more important than now. During this session, Johan Soderstrom, will address this urgent need for change and empower the collaboration and conversations needed over the course of this important two-day event.
13:30-14:30
Energy Transition: Key actions to drive change
The European Union has committed to cut greenhouse gas emission by 55% compared to 1990 by 2030, a key milestone in reaching climate neutrality in 2050. It has been widely recognized that electricity will be the backbone of the energy system when it comes to a clean energy transition. In addition to growth of traditional electrical demand, there is a  growing need for electrification of transportation, industry and building sectors. To meet the 2050 climate targets, a proactive and highly collaborative framework will need to be set in place across the European market.  Join this session to discuss the key actions needed to advance the energy transition.

Panel discussion: Accelerating innovation for Europe
Innovation is at the heart of building a sustainable energy system across Europe.  It is crucial that we take on the challenge of accelerating the pace of this change together.  Together, we will need to develop the right technologies, bring new ways of thinking and working in order to ensure long-term value and real, positive human impact.  In this session we will assemble a panel of leading innovators and change agents across Europe and discuss how we can collectively disrupt the energy system of today for a better tomorrow.

Day 2
Thursday 9 June
09:00-10:00
Partnership & co-creation, together we achieve more
Developing an inclusive, equitable, and collaborative approach to how we collectively reach Net Zero is mission critical.  While there are multiple pathways to achieve a carbon-neutral future, silos and individual solutions will not get us to where we need to be at the pace we need to get there. Companies across Europe will need to come together to address the urgent needs of our communities and our future generations- collaboration will be key.  In this session we will bring together voices of change to discuss how we can meet challenges with opportunities to be stronger together.

A shared journey: Based on a true story
No one pathway to Net-Zero looks the same, but together the speed in which we achieve it can accelerate. Join us for 90 minutes of experience sharing from companies across Europe that are working to shape a sustainable energy future.  Companies will be given 15-20 minutes to share their energy transition journeys and discuss with the audience.  Want to share your story?  Let us know!

Addressing Europe’s Energy Security Challenge without Compromising on Speed of Transition
The European energy landscape and markets are being radically reshaped as governments and businesses respond to the dual climate and energy crises. Current geopolitical developments and recent announcements by key European institutions have highlighted the vulnerability of European Union energy supplies and underlined the importance of the energy transition to Europe’s energy security. While the current context emphasizes the need for a rapid energy transition, the energy transition is an interdisciplinary challenge with many stakeholders involved and affected. Progress is being made; but this progress is not fast enough and it is also not resilient enough to cope with the increased volatility of the current economic, geopolitical or environmental situation. The right technologies and sufficient financing are now available and continue to play a key role in driving energy transition. However, the development of these technologies and the deployment of this capital must be supported by the right policy and regulatory frameworks, innovative business models, as well as collaboration across stakeholders, geographies and sectors. This session will explore how policy and regulatory frameworks are enabling an accelerated energy transition across the EU.
