Bringing the energy to rail customers in Egypt

Hitachi Energy Egypt conducted a workshop showcasing its portfolio for rail solutions in Egypt over two days on March 14 -15, 2023, at Kempinski Nile Hotel, Cairo, Egypt.

We were honoured to host customers and partners from the public sector represented by the National Authority of Tunnels (NAT), Egyptian Electricity and Transmission Company (EETC), and attendees from the private sector, represented by Orascom and Colas Rail.

We understand the urgency and have the commitment and passion for advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We have made progress by holding our first workshop to demonstrate our innovative technology for rail solutions. We believe that trusted partnerships and collaboration are essential to finding the world's solutions​. This workshop is a concrete example of our commitment to our customers and partners to meet the industry, country and community needs.

The workshop included a series of sessions, case studies and discussions. We presented the Transportation Segment Portfolio in Hitachi Energy and the technological advancement in this vital segment. The workshop in general showcased our portfolio covering a full transformation journey towards smarter mobility, including our solutions for; substations, rolling stock, communications, control & automation, software and consulting services.

"Innovative transformers for smart railway infrastructure" is one more interesting topic that was presented by our Hitachi Energy transformers experts. They introduced the next-generation TXpert Hub, powered by the latest CoreTec technology highlighting the commencement of a new era in transformer digitalization and effective asset performance management. In addition, presented on our transient voltage protection technology using winding varistors as a simple solution for the complex problem of switching overvoltage transients.
