Description

The PSF640 IED (intelligent electronic device) is designed for the protection, control, measurement, and supervision of utility distribution substations and industrial power systems feeders. This includes grounded, non-grounded, resistance-grounded or compensated grounded networks with or without distributed power generation.

Description

PSF640 provides four stages of three-phase overcurrent protection. Each stage can be configured as either directional or non-directional.

Fully interoperable with Hitachi Energy’s tools suite. With our PS640 series--which supports the IEC 61850 edition 2.0 communication protocol you can rely on high cybersecurity standards, as well as our long legacy in power systems, industry standards, and customer support.  

 

No more complex configuration

This preconfigured device is easy to learn and use, providing a simple hardware architecture for your team to commission and maintain. Less training and engineering are needed, which saves you time and resources while improving safety.

PSF640 supports a maximum of four setting groups, whose setting values can be modified from the local human-machine interface (LHMI) or the PCM600 configuration tool.

The PS640 PCM600 connectivity package provides a simple and easy interface: It fully integrates PCM600 without requiring any additional tools.
