Mission Statement:

Support the Market Manager in marketing and sales activities and implementing HV Business strategies. Contribute to the achievement of profitable and sustainable sales targets for the Business Unit portfolio in the Country. Support Account Managers in maximizing the value of their accounts and increasing account penetration.

Your Responsibilities:

  • You will provide technical support and quotations for the High Voltage products to the customers.
  • You should be well versed with all commercial terms & conditions applicable for offer preparation.
  • You will develop a tendering strategy based on market intelligence and inhouse experience and expertise.
  • You will interpret substation single line diagram, substation Layouts, Bill of material, specification, and other relevant documents of customer for bid preparation Feasibility Study - Technical / Strategic positioning, and Commercial viability.
  • You will engage with customers to learn and understand the drivers influencing their specification. Work out ideas on how to influence customer buying criteria.
  • You will gather business and market intelligence to assist with sales strategy.
  • You will assist in monitoring the market and trends in the industry to develop and identify future customers and opening for Hitachi Energy.
  • You will proactively look for the new areas in or new applications for the local market that Hitachi Energy can target and grow its customer base.
  • You should understand how Hitachi Energy products and service offering can provide value to the customers and do Product and Market Analysis for the existing customer base.
  • You will apply “Customer Care Response Process” when it’s necessary.  Close collaboration with the factory for providing solutions or remedy to the customers.  
  • You must support management with analysis and reporting of Sales Force Dot Com (SFDC) data for leads and opportunities management, customer contact activity, pipeline.
  • You will identify partnership opportunities and participates in the definition of partnership agreements or joint ventures.
  • You should take care of own personal health, safety and environment (HSE) and complying with business standards and regulations in the Country in the area of responsibility. Personally, lives the Hitachi values and Group standards.
  • You will collaborate with all related internal local and global contacts to ensure alignment, efficiency and effectiveness in the implementation of the respective local business strategy. Identifies and promotes local business-led collaboration opportunities/needs.
  • You will in line with the sales team strategy, support management with developing appropriate relationships with customers and key accounts.
  • You will close collaboration with the product feeder factories project managers for project execution.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Electrical Engineer experience.
  • Exposure to medium/ large scale market analysis projects and strategic plans.
  • Understanding of contract law.
  • Technical competence (understand software, hardware, networks, etc).
  • Knowledge of electrical and automation technologies/industries.
  • Familiarity with the New Zealand Electricity grid (desired).
  • Knowledge of New Zealand Electricity services markets (desired).
  • A working knowledge of SAP
