Hitachi Energy announces addition of Brice Koch as a new member to its Board of Directors

Hitachi Energy today announced that Dr. Brice Koch, who was recently named by Hitachi, Ltd. as Chairman of the Board of Hitachi Europe Ltd., from July 1, 2023, will be appointed as a new Director of the Hitachi Energy Board.

Brice Koch has a broad understanding of the global stage, combined with insights from Hitachi Group, including the Energy industry. He will join the Hitachi Energy Board with deep knowledge and expertise after working as CEO and President of Hitachi Astemo, a joint venture where the Advanced Sustainable Technologies for Mobility are core to the business.

His background will add a valuable contribution to support Hitachi Energy's 2030 profitable growth plan. In addition to his role as Chairman of the Board of Hitachi Europe Ltd. He is also a Director of the Board of GlobalLogic Worldwide Holdings, Inc, a Hitachi Group Company.

With this appointment, Hitachi Energy's Board will consist of a total of eight members, including Alistair Dormer, Chair; Frank Duggan, Vice Chair; Akihide Hirao, Director; Brice Koch, Director; Manuel Valverde, Director; Seiichiro Nukui, Director; Shashank Samant, Director; and Stephen Pierce, Director.
