More than three decades ago, Hitachi Energy embarked on an incredible journey in Vietnam with the establishment of our first representative office in Hanoi. Over 31 years, we've harnessed our local expertise to provide world-class service support to Vietnam's infrastructure and industry.
Our milestones along this journey cannot be achieved without the restless contributions from all employees, especially those who have been with the company for 30 years. On January 21, we held a special Long Service Awards ceremony to celebrate these dedicated colleagues and their remarkable career achievements.
In his opening speech, Chandan Singh, Country Managing Director (CMD), remarked, “In 1994, when we established the joint venture for manufacturing distribution transformers in Hanoi, we signed 200 employees. Sixty-six of whom are here today, with the remaining having retired. This reflects the level of retention, loyalty, and engagement we have fostered here.”
Bruno Melles, Managing Director, along with other Transformers HUB managers, also attended this meaningful ceremony. Bruno expressed his excitement to be back in Vietnam, one year after the factory inauguration. He emphasized how the transformers factory has been driving and executing one of the strongest safety and quality cultures. He also appreciated the commitment and loyalty of the team, their dedication, and their support for the next generation.

At the closing speech, Nguyen Thi Lan Anh, Country HR Manager expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone who are growing with the Company for such decades of dedication, hard work and commitment. Their contributions towards the Company over 30 years, in the hard times as well as good times are an valuable assets of the Company and this also motivates younger generations continue to build on the foundation of excellence and loyalty as we are today.
The Long Service Awards at Hitachi Energy is a bi-annual ceremony that acknowledges the incredible milestones of our employees. This year, we are proud to honor 66 employees who have reached their 30 years of service. Their dedication and hard work have been instrumental in our success, and we look forward to many more years of collaboration and achievement.
