Supplier Cybersecurity

At Hitachi Energy, we believe that the world needs a cybersecurity ecosystem for a resilient electric future.

Therefore, our valued suppliers and partners play a key role in our cybersecurity program as only a joint approach will enable a secure and resilient energy ecosystem.

Our Hitachi Energy Cybersecurity Standards for Suppliers (CS-S) are based on current industry standards and comprise a set of cybersecurity requirements that we expect our suppliers to comply with. Please find our updated CS-S further below on this page.

Suppliers are required to establish, document, and implement initiatives in line with our CS-S and take measures to build sufficient cybersecurity into their products, services and solutions to safeguard Hitachi Energy's as well as customer data against theft and loss.

Data Protection

We are fully committed to comply with data protection legislation. Our data protection compliance program is based on the strict European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles. Where suppliers are processing personal data on our behalf and based on our instructions, our contracts will be supplemented with detailed data protection and security obligations on how personal data should be processed. Respecting data protection rights is a top priority for us.
