GIS installation commissioning Engineer

Business Information:

“The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.”

Mission Statement

The installation and commissioning engineer at INOPC will be a member of PGHV – CH 2657 team and will contribute towards Installation and commissioning of GIS product from 66kv up to 500 kV.. The installation and commissioning engineer will play role of technical advisor during Installation and commissioning of GIS.

Your responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate with project manager and ensure the site readiness as per standard checklist.

  • Ensure required travel approvals are in place and appropriate visa is available for travel to project country.

  • Conduct site Risk assessment is carried out and all safety risks are covered in the assessment with mitigation action specified.

  • Unpack GIS materials stored at site, perform inspection and move them for installation.

  • Conduct tool box talk before start of work.

  • Ensure that the Installation and commissioning activities of GIS are performed by technicians as per standard method statement.

  • Prepare weekly progress report and share with project manager.

  • Conducting the SAT activities as per our internal protocols

  • Prepare report for nonconformities found at our product/site materials at any stage of execution and report the same to concern the project / site manager.

  • Ensure the results of SAT as per our internal protocols and cross check with factory routine tests (FRT) and factory acceptance test (FAT) in case if required.

  • Prepare and send the site corrected/red marked drawings to engineering department for as built preparation.

  • Handover the GIS equipment and spares (if any) to customers with proper documentation in a ready for energization state.

Your background:

  • Min 6 years’ experience in GIS installation and commissioning

  • Completed atleast 10 GIS installation and commissioning projects in independent role.

  • Skilled in handling contractors / Technicians.

  • Good knowledge on site HSE requirements.

  • Ability to summarize meeting outcomes.

  • English: fluent in speaking and writing
