Your responsibilities:

  • You will guide and train Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) team to drive excellence in quality, delivery, compliance, sustainable performance. You will ensure global processes are understood and implement-ed, monitor and report supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development action, provide quality and compliance status updates to Hub management team.

  • You will ensure the supplier qualification process is fully understood and utilized and ensure the supply basses are, and remain, fully qualified and compliant.

  • You will conduct supplier audit, assessment and evaluation to ensure compliance with pre-establish quality, cost and delivery performance standard and specifications, ensure supplier assessments (e.g. potential, schedule, special), include assessment reporting and findings (major, minor or opportunities for improvement) are scheduled, executed and followed-up. 

  • You will identify, coach, manage suppliers according to organization quality standard, policies, work with Supply Chain Management as need to develop standard supply base management and quality training materials for local implementation. 

  • You will resolve poor supplier quality issue and provide appropriate support for desired supplier capability, the role will require close cooperation with responsible buyers, Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs), category Team Leaders (CTLs) Operational Excellence, Sustainability & Compliance and R&D/Engineering, and Projects, among others.

  • By Lean6Sigma and risk-based methodologies you will identify areas for improvement within the supply chain and closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement, ensure required supplier development processes are established, understand, execute to develop and support suppliers to secure Hitachi Energy requirements are met. 

  • You will coach and mentor Supplier Quality and Development Engineers (SQE/SDE), setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results, develop mid to long-term (3 to 5 years) plan for optimizing the organization, function, and the talent required to execute strategies in job areas.

Your background:

  • You hold electrical or mechanical engineering with bachelor graduation or above.

  • More than 5 years related experience in quality management and system management. 

  • At least three years team management experience. 

  • Knowledge of high voltage products and quality  assurance,  process  control  are preferred.

  • Strong learning agility, L6S Black Belt or Green Belt certification is preferred.

  • Well-developed analytical abilities,  systematically  problem-solving  and  quality improvement skill. 

  • Deep know-how and experience in the successful application of in the use of 8D, 6 Sigma tools include sta-tistical analysis (e.g., Minitab, MSA, SPC).

  • Good attitude to work under pressure and meet the deadline.

  • Strong Leadership capability, ability to motive and develop people and result-orientated and strong ability to solve conflicts.

  • Strong  communication  skill  to  different  stakeholders  (BU/Company/Customer). 

  • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in both English and Mandarin.
