Hitachi Energy showcases innovative Grid Solutions at IEEE PowerTalks in Oman

Hitachi Energy recently participated in the highly esteemed IEEE PowerTalks, Oman's largest gathering for power and energy professionals. The event brought together experts from diverse fields to explore the energy transition, demonstrate technological advancements, and discuss the role of different energy sources in our evolving energy system.

With the presence of over 80 esteemed customers, including end-users from NAMA Group (NG) of companies, PDO (Petroleum Development Oman), and active consultants, the workshop proved to be an exceptional platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. In our knowledge exchange session, our power quality expert, Saravanan Jeganathan, presented on mitigating challenges of renewable integration and maintaining grid stability with our power quality solutions.

The primary objective was to showcase the latest advancements in Hitachi Energy's Modularized & Prefabricated Grid Solutions. Hitachi Energy’s approach to the market consists of four business units: High Voltage, Automation, Transformers, and Grid Integration. These innovations address the need for safer, greener, and more reliable transformers.

Ammar Naji, Country Head of Sales & Marketing, Hitachi Energy Oman, said “At Hitachi Energy, we feel the urgency and have the commitment, passion, and know-how for advancing a sustainable energy future for all. Our participation at IEEE PowerTalks demonstrates our dedication to collaborating with industry partners and sharing our expertise to drive sustainable energy transitions in the region.”

The response from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with a special interest shown towards Hitachi Energy's modularized substations references. Himanshu Shah, APMEA Application engineer presented a session on TXpand™ and TXpert™ Ecosystem. The audience appreciated the advancements in technology and expressed keen interest in exploring further collaborations. Ravi Chandran, Hitachi Utilities and Service segment manager in Oman, has already initiated discussions on the TXpert™  solution with one of the major consultants in Oman. Saravanan Murugappan, Global Bid & Proposal Specialist Virtual CoC Grid Solutions at Hitachi Energy, was the main speaker at the IEEE PowerTalks. The General Managers from major EPCs (Engineering Procurement and Construction) in Oman, such as L&T, Powertech, Tradelink, and BEC were honored for their participation.
