The mission of the Quality and Continuous Improvement team in Grid Automation North America is to support operational excellence across all business processes for the benefit of our customers, our businesses, and our colleagues.  We achieve this through flawless execution of an integrated quality management system and the passionate pursuit of a sustainable continuous improvement culture built with total employee engagement.  Practically speaking, this translates into activities that include facilitation of Lean Six Sigma projects, strategy deployment, process development, root cause analysis, nonconformance management, team-based problem solving, and coaching the organization.  We also champion the voice of the customer based on direct interaction and follow-up through the Net Promoter Score survey process.  Members of our team are relied upon every day as valued partners and trusted advisors for the entire Hub, driving positive change and removing barriers to excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support execution of Continuous Improvement projects across all business processes through application of various tools/methodologies and analysis of data.  Also provide support for process documentation, process efficiency tools, dashboard development, and other team-based improvement exercises.
  • May be tasked with completion of Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training and co- facilitation of at least one formal Yellow Belt project for certification.  Additionally, will participate in ad hoc investigations and improvements to eliminate waste in the organization. 
  • Related activities will include data analysis, process mapping, and various other tasks in support of our ongoing development of a Quality and Continuous Improvement culture.

Your Background:

  • Must have an open mind and a willingness to ask questions. 
  • Critical thinking, building interpersonal relationships, and growth mindset are all very important for this role.
