About the business:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation  and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub.. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your responsibility:

  • Preparation of 3D modeling of high voltage Breakers, Surge Arresters, Capacitor Banks, Disconnectors, Battery Energy Storage Systems, and other P&IC-Related Products (>66kV and above).

  • Generating BoM of modules and products and creating part numbers using SAP/ERP

  • Coordination and reviewing the 2D and 3D drawings before submitting the same to customers.

  • Preparation of guaranteed technical parameters for various high voltage.

  • Addressing the technical queries raised by the customer during the execution of the project in case required.

  • Supporting various cross functions like SCM, project management, and quality for understanding the customer requirements and specifications in case required.

  • Supporting onsite installation and commissioning colleagues for understanding the customer drawings and other technical support.

  • Coordinating with the customer and resolving queries and ensuring the engineering drawings are approved on time.

  • Directly responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for respective projects as per quality process.

  • Years of experience: 4 – 6 years with a Bachelor’s in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering

  • Hands of experience in 3D tools like Creo /Pro-E, Solid Works, and Windchill or similar PLM tools

  • Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, ANSI, IEC, etc. Understanding of Manufacturing Drawings & Electrical Schematics.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
