Material Planner

You as Material Planner will be part of Hitachi Energy High Voltage business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be conducting all activities related to the handling of parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or from the production line. Maintaining inventory record accurately.

Your responsibilities

• Monitoring of production requirements and coordinating with production planning and SCM team in ensuring material availability.
• Segmentation and safety stock & Inventory parameters.
• Calculating and maintaining in the planning systems and the SAP the inventory parameters: safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead-time, and replenishment strategies.
• Collaborating with buyers for obtaining the best possible on-time delivery, lead-time.
• Communicate with third party warehouse in order to make sure material availability in production line.
• Support cycle counting and or year-end inventory counting. Conducting financial risk assessments decisions relating to inventory, conducting root case analysis when necessary.
• Analyzing excess and obsolete or aging inventory. Taking appropriate action for optimizing inventory performance, in collaboration with sales, marketing, manufacturing and Procurement and Logistics.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree or high diploma in relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in similar position. 
• Knowledge of Excel. 
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP system. 
• Strong communication and organizing skills. 
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English language is required.
