The opportunity

As a Local Product Group of High Voltage Products, the High Current Systems unit is responsible for the development, sales, manufacturing, and service of generator circuit-breaker systems.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead the Generator Circuit Breaker (GCB) Product and Project Engineering teams in designing, implementing, and deploying the required technical documentation (i.e. drawings, manuals, components list, etc.)

  • Provide consulting concerning technical documentation and design data to other departments (project management, sales, product management etc.) 

  • Support the transfer of technology and knowledge from R&D to the engineering departments by following new product development projects and by making sure product data always adheres to global and local standard and regulations.

  • Manage the task of Global Product Support for our GCB portfolio and be part of a global network of peers from other product units

  • Drive the performance and the continuous improvement of the engineering functions to ensure that all engineering activities meet the required safety, integrity, financial and contractual requirements

  • Manage the planning and tracking of engineering activities, ensuring the quality and respect of timeline, according to the best practices and standards of the industry

  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training

  • Make key technical decisions and supporting resolution of technical issues 

  • Build effective team environments where individuals work collaboratively

Your background

  • Master's/PhD degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Several years of experience in a similar role, supported by a solid understanding of the technical processes in an industrial environment

  • Experience with design tools (CAD, electrical schemes, etc.)

  • Knowledge of the high voltage product market would be an asset

  • Strong leadership experience or clearly demonstrated leadership potential

  • Fluency in English. German and language skills would be an asset

  • Highly motivated with strong attention to detail and accountability for the tasks by adhering to timelines

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate flexibility, adaptability and a proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and peers
