Mission Statement:

As the Sales Manager for our Grid Automation segment, you will play a critical role within the Sales organization, accountable for identifying and addressing customer needs in the pre-bid phase. You will lead pre-sales initiatives, engage with customers early in the sales process, and collaborate closely with sales and engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Establish goals for building and maintaining a robust sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships.
  • Pipeline build up month on month across Portfolio have healthy mix at Each Zonel/ Individual Sales Reps/ Territory level @1:4 (qualified pipeline should be 4 times of budget). Reviewed on fortnightly basis and Course correction action
  • Initiate and nurture relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and challenges.
  • Deliver compelling demonstrations and presentations that showcase our solutions' value and benefits.
  • Engage with customers early to generate leads and drive interest in our offerings.
  • Lead and mentor the pre-sales team to ensure alignment with business objectives and sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and unique value propositions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support during the sales process on SCADA/DMS/ADMS Offerings, answering customer inquiries and overcoming objections.
  • Conduct thorough competitive analysis to position our offerings effectively in the market.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements.
  • Utilize feedback and lessons learned to continuously enhance proposal quality and increase win rates.
  • Work closely with product development, engineering, and operations teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between pre-sales, sales, and delivery teams to align on customer needs and project scopes.

Your background:

  • A Bachelor’s / master's degree in engineering preferred with 15+ years of relevant work experience in Business Development, Sales, pre-sales, engineering, or a related role within the energy or automation industry.
  • Strong understanding of grid automation technologies, products, and solutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing complex sales cycles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
