"With my work, I have a direct impact on the quality and performance of the high-power semiconductors we are producing. It makes me very proud, when I see energy transmission stations working successfully for over 20 years. And I’m also looking forward to the Olympic Winter Games 2022 in China, because when the lights will be switched on, I know that our products are enabling this to happen.

I perceive the team spirit and the drive to achieve the best services and products as the biggest asset we have at Power Grids. Everyone is motivated to give their best and develop and maintain products at the top edge of the technology.

Besides traction, HVDC transmission is one of the major applications for our high-power semiconductors. HVDC transmissions connect as one of many examples offshore wind parks to the mainland with very low losses and make green energy available to all of us. Moreover, with the unique technology that Power Grids has, the energy connection is stable and available to everyone at any given time.

I am proud to be Power Grids because we are producing high-end products which are making a positive difference for a greener future.

I was excited to learn, that the values of Hitachi are Harmony, Sincerity and Pioneering Spirit. For me these values are an amazing fit with Power Grids.
