Meet our people: Kijudai Aygin

Hello from Baden, Switzerland! I’m Kijudai Aygin (she/her), the global Microsoft 365 Collaboration Manager Lead at Hitachi Energy. My journey here began over 15 years ago, filled with growth, challenges, and innovation. My passion for IT started early. At 5, my father introduced me to Windows 98 and Debian Linux, sparking a lifelong fascination with technology that led me to work on private IT projects from a young age.

Interestingly, I started my career as a Design Engineer in Gas-insulated Switchgear (GIS), where I developed skills in milling, turning, electrical engineering, 3D modeling, and 2D drawing. This technical background proved invaluable when I transitioned to IT at Hitachi Energy, giving me a unique perspective on problem-solving and business operations. Now, I manage a variety of Microsoft products and services, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Copilot. Known as the "IT wizard," I tackle complex IT challenges across the company, handling a high volume of daily inquiries. I find purpose in using my skills to make an impact.

Outside work, I enjoy analog photography and hiking with my lovely partner. We love capturing nature with our cameras and the film-developing process. I’m also an avid gamer, enjoying PC and tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons, and stay engaged with IT projects in emerging tech, including AI.
