Factory Manager (General Manager)

The Opportunity 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Factory Manager to join our team in the factory of Sevlievo. This role you will be developing and implementing manufacturing strategies aligned with global business unit objectives, driving performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. You will be collaborating with supply chain, controlling, engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to streamline operations, address challenges, and support strategic business objectives. 

 

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Being a reliable supplier in terms of quality, delivery and cost to all operating units. Ensure continuous business performance for the feeder factory, with responsibility across multiple local product groups; 

  • Foster a safety culture for all activities, continuously reducing HSE risks in the operations; 

  • Implementing the global operational strategy in the Feeder factory, ensuring profitable and efficient operations in the unit. Responsible for implementing Operation excellence strategies focused on SQDIC to delivery improved customer experience and best product cost; 

  • Improving the manufacturing technologies and competencies in line with our Global Operations strategy;  

  • Coordinate with Operating units reliable supply improving constantly lead times through adjustments in capacity and efficient S&OP processes. Work closely with Hubs/Operating units and supporting functions such as HSE, Sales, SCM, Planning, Material Management, Transport & Logistics and Finance in developing the factory priorities;  

  • Support the deployment of Digital manufacturing including the deployment of Digital Passport System; 

  • Drives productivity, delivery performance cost optimization and inventory utilization. Responsible to champion a culture of Lean 6 Sigma and Continuous Improvement;  

  • Secure the corporate fiduciary duty and governance of Hitachi Energy in Bulgaria;  

  • Implements and ensures compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations. Living core values of safety, integrity and quality, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business; 

  • Shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization. Ensures (with the HR team support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies .

 

Your background: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent qualification; 

  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior management role of manufacturing unit across multiple cultures; 

  • Experience with a multi-international role; 

  • Must show successful experience in generating revenue, profitability and execution;  

  • Experience in Supply Chain management, Operations, Factory capacity planning and Transport & Logistics;  

  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills;  

  • Strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
