Meet Our People Zurich, Switzerland 30-07-2020

Sam Ridsdale, UK

I am proud to be Power Grids because when we work together with our customers, we can be a cumulative force for good.

"It’s super exciting that Hitachi ABB Power Grids has so many of the solutions needed to decarbonise our world.  We are no longer just talking about Net Zero – we’re out there doing it.  And what’s even better, is that it’s now clear that building a better future for our planet can go hand in hand with growing a sustainable economy.  So, for Hitachi ABB Power Grids, our customers and our families, it’s a win-win-win situation.

Our innovation, technology, and solutions make it possible for our customers to achieve Net Zero, to do something different than they did yesterday and to make everything that they do in the future sustainable.

It’s great being part of a global team.  Whilst I don’t share a physical office with many of the people that I work with, a typical day will involve a quick chat about strategy with my colleague in Malaysia, some consulting support from another colleague in Rhode Island, a discussion about technology with the HV guys in Zurich, a quick check in with the service team in Sweden – we genuinely are a global family.

I’m looking forward to learning more about Hitachi’s approach to customers and to finding out how they have built such strong and productive relationships across so many areas of business."
