General information:

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Marketing Engineer for its Jefferson City, MO location. This role is responsible for supporting the Sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide internal and external technical expertise and counsel to factory and Front-End Sales organization, relating to company products and their marketability.
  • Participate in sales programs to sell company products and services and provide customers with engineering expertise relative to specific product lines.
  • Provide research, analytical and promotional support for the Marketing Department in developing competitive information, product requirements and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare proposals in response to requests for quotes and manage technical and commercial aspects of bids - from quoting to shipping.
  • Host customer visits for the purpose of training, order execution and promotion. Partner with Customer Success team and engineering to execute orders and designs in a timely manner.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Marketing or Business and minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or business environment.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Background in electrical engineering / electrical technology with B2B, energy sector preferred.
  • Recent experience working with the sales & marketing of Power/ Distribution products (e.g. transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, etc.) preferred.
  • Product Marketing skills & knowledge of Distribution Transformers product line preferred Customer-centric approach. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
