Our Global Engineering Center (GEC) is Hitachi Energy’s competence center established almost a decade back to provide comprehensive support to its factories across the world in areas of Engineering from Quotation Design to Transformer Dispatch, including complex simulations. Currently we support 20+ Hitachi Energy factories spread over 14 countries with 100+ highly skilled engineers.

Your responsibilities:

• The success candidate will be the part of an International Design and Engineering Team heavily specialized in Power Transformers design covering different countries.
• Responsible for design of power transformers.
• Will be part of a Global Engineering Center team and your task is to contribute to the global design work with positive team atmosphere and networking.
• Responsible for development of transformer designs in coordination with global Hitachi Energy factory based on the purchase order requirement, ordering specification in different areas of transformer electrical design.
• Coordinating his order design activities within a worldwide factories network.
• Demonstrated team building and networking skills, would be a preference.
• Understanding of Transformer mechanical design, Structural strength, Material properties and transformer mechanics
• A team player, open with information and willingly contributes to team discussions with an ability to work without supervision when required.
• Participation in internal design concept reviews.

Your background:

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• 3-6 years of experience working in mechanical design for the power transformer manufacturing industry according to international standards such as IEC, DIN, IEEE, and EN.
• Candidates with more experience may also be considered.
• Experience in structural simulation is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related tools.
• The ability to communicate and collaborate with technical teams in different parts of the world.
• Knowledge of additional languages is considered an advantage.
• A quick learner with the ability to master new areas.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
