Field Service Engineer-Transformer Service

You as a Field Service Engineer-Transformer Service will be part of Hitachi Energy business based Abu Dhabi, UAE. You will be engaged in Power Transformer/Reactors and Distribution Transformers Field Service activities.

Your responsibilities:

• Planning and establishing work schedules, considering customer requirements, & priorities.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand standard and complex winding configurations and vector diagrams.
• Oil Analysis result interpretation and Report Preparations. 
• Installing and assembling Transformer.
• Processing vacuum and oil. Experience in Repair & Services
• Inspecting Transformer Active Part.
• ON Load Tap Changer (OLTC) maintenance and repair knowledge.
• Transformer Turns Ratio (TTR), Winding Resistance, Insulation Resistance – Megger Windings & Core, Insulation Power Factor and Capacitance, 10kV Excitation, Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA).
• Preparing customer reports on testing and site work performed.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and engineering instructions to plan requirements for site support personnel, equipment (cranes, tankers, man-lift etc)
• Working with Customer on field related problems/ troubleshooting
• Ensuring all site work is performed to Customers safety requirements.
• Maintaining, checking and ensuring PPE is always utilized.

Your background            

• Bachelor’s degree /Diploma in electrical engineering.
• 5 - 8 years’ experience in the Transformer Testing, assembly, preferably Power transformers (including OLTC)
• Experience in testing HVDC transformers and Digitalization Services will be an added advantage [ like DGA – Dissolved Gas Analysis, eSDB, Busining Monitoring, PD Discharge].
• Excellent Knowledge about relevant Standard ( i.e. IEC , ISO , IEEE)
• Expert in handling all LV and HV Test equipment.
• Basic Computer skill in MS Office, SAP
• Excellent communication skills.
