The opportunity

We are experiencing significant growth and are looking for a new test engineer. The position can be defined as a senior test engineer if the candidate has the necessary competence and experience.

Our facilities are located throughout Norway, and you will follow the project through the entire testing period, as well as during the design of the station and internal tests in our test area.

After the project leaves the test area, a normal workweek consists of being on-site from Monday to Thursday, with occasional overtime for long-term projects (based on a 4/3 rotation). Preparatory work for the actual testing on-site is done in the office.

How you'll make an impact

  • Configuring, testing, and troubleshooting of relay protection according to relay plan.

  • Functional testing and verification of circuit diagrams.

  • Commissioning and energizing of plant parts and components.

  • Testing of control, measurement, and protection circuits from primary components to control cabinets.

  • Responsible for on-site testing.

  • Preparing test protocols and updating/finalizing documentation.

When testing relay protection, Omicron test equipment is used. Previous experience with this

equipment is not required but will be considered an advantage.

Your background:

  • Electrical engineer/technician with certification (Gr. L, H, A)

  • Experience in power supply, the power industry, or electrification of industrial plants.

  • Experience in testing control systems and relay protection is desirable.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and commissioning is a plus.

  • Experience in configuring relay protection is desirable.

  • Good language skills in Norwegian and English are necessary.
