SAM600 version 1.2.1 released

A new release of SAM600 process bus I/O system is available. The designation of this release is version 1.2.1.  

About SAM600  

SAM600 interfaces conventional instrument transformers and can integrate with non-conventional instrument transformers as well, thus bringing the advantages of digital substations to new and existing installations.

The modularity of SAM600 systems allows for a broad application coverage. Built for the harshest environments, SAM600 modules can be placed alongside primary equipment in the switchyard, collecting information directly from the source and converting it into IEC 61850-9-2 digital format.  

New features and benefits in SAM600 version 1.2.1  

The following new and enhanced features are introduced in this release:  

• Improved PTP performance (resynchronization, master switchover, holdover time, sync message handling)
• IEC 61850-9-2 LE streams now support configuration of AppID, VLAN and Priority ID in PCM600 ConnPack
• A new parameter has been introduced in order to configure IEC 61850-9-2 LE smpSync behavior in case SAM600 is in free-running mode
• Time accuracy towards time master is now configurable (1µs/4µs) in order to improve holdover time for protection-class applications in case of time master switchover
• Transducer ratios are configurable individually for all phases (including neutral), both for SAM600-CT and SAM600-VT
• Digital inputs on SAM600-CT and SAM600-VT are configurable for 220V DC input voltage
