Conventional dehydrating breather

Dehydrating breathers are designed to absorb moisture caused by the intake of air into the transformer during the thermal contraction of the oil mass. Hitachi Energy's dehydrating breathers contain salts of chemically pure silicon oxide, called silica gel, with colored indicators, which absorb moisture and atmospheric humidity and prevent oil contamination.
